Your One-Stop Shop for All Things Tattoo

Hey there! My name’s Summer Slacum, and I am a proud, blooming tattoo artist located at Ink or Dye Studio in Centreville, MD where I’ve been bringing the heat since 2021.  What started as a small shop assistant positioned has turned into a grand adventure for myself: becoming manager of one of the most successful shops in Maryland, growing a killer team, and diving headfirst into the world of tattooing. After spending years learning the ins and outs of what it takes to be a business, I was finally ready to spread my wings and contribute my own artistic touch to the industry.

I graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Social Sciences, a B.A. in Communications, and a minor in Studio Art.  When I’m not in the studio creating (art or chaos), you can find me hitting the roads on my motorcycle with my closest friends and soaking up the scenery.  I’m a sucker for great food, creative writing and discovering new music.

 

I've started Sumthing Inked as a way to share my experiences in the tattoo industry with the world.  Not just what it's meant so far to become a tattooer but allowing others with likeminded interest to join alongside me in this experience of discovering the industry.
